Violaine Beix Ginzburg

violaine beixViolaine has nine years of working experience in the public, private, and non‐profit sectors. She is the co-founder of a small publishing company, Hungry Man Books, specialized in satyrical books on international development. Prior to joining the IOMBA she worked for two years as researcher for Femmes Africa Solidarité, a Geneva‐based NGO focused on peace building and gender issues in post-conflict situations in Africa.

From 2001 to 2004 Violaine worked at the French Embassy in Bangkok, first as a Linguistic Attachée coordinating French teacher training across Thailand, then as Head of EduFrance, an agency promoting higher education in France. In 2000‐2001 she spent a year in Paris working for a private company performing IT training in the area of education. This was preceded by two years with the Alliance française in Botswana, and a year at the European Centre for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe in Graz, Austria.

Violaine highly values multiculturalism, communication, and sharing of ideas.  She is in the 2008-2009 graduating class of the International Organizations MBA Program at the University of Geneva.
