Dr. Marwa Daoudy – Professor, University of Geneva HEC, IOMBA Program

daoudyDoctor in Political Science, Marwa Daoudy lectures at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva), and is a visiting professor at the Business School of the University of Geneva (HEC) and the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She is also a consultant in international affairs for international organizations (UNESCO, ILO, WCC) and the private sector (finance, legal), and offers training sessions to worldwide professionals and civil servants in the field of international negotiation, water and security. She is currently Coordinator for Side Publications to the 3rd edition of the World Water Development Report (WWDR-3), at the World Water Assessment Program (UNESCO-WWAP). Her courses and training sessions cover transboundary water conflicts, dynamics of negotiation and conflict, issues of power, security and identity in the Middle East, Political Science and the study of international relations, and Islam in world politics. Her research interests are in negotiation and security studies, particularly the link between resource conflicts and negotiation processes, with a special focus on water and peace negotiations in the Middle East. She has recently contributed to a book published by Oxford University Press, and published articles in The Economics of Peace and Security Journal, The Journal of International Affairs, Water Policy, and International Negotiation.

Dr. Daoudy is participating at the Geneva Forum for Social Change as a moderator for “The Impact of Conflict on Human Security and Human Rights”.
